Superman punches Orion far away and off-panel, then flies off in the other direction saying, "I have to get away from that maniac."

Pages later: "Orion is back in the game." There is no indication that Orion was ever phased, let alone KOed. With Superman explicitly putting distance between them, the most logical explanation is that Orion's brief absence is due to his catching up, or just PIS.

Similarly, if I shoved Mayweather down a long, but gentle, grassy hill and ran away before he climbed back up, you probably shouldn't go around telling people that I beat the champ

I think everyone see it like this except ABHI. There's no evidence suggesting Orion was even scratched by Superman attack. The only reason he didn't show up immediately is due to him not having his harness.

We have already seen him defeating beings who can break Orion's body and left him for dying, we have already seen him casually overpower hordes of Surfer matching parademons, we have already seen him casually walk through omega beams.
