Hey Abhi Winehouse Blue Marvel and Surfer is a far cry from everybody. As far as my reasoning, just look at his defeated opponents and how power set.

In my opinion the fight will be close but in a comic Superman will win cause Surfer almost always fights stupidly against other famous characters.

Surfer may be the character people most like to project how they want him to fight to try and win the argument. If they like him, black holes behind the eyes ftl. If they don't like him, every low showing in the book is presented as average.

As far as bumping (ie, not by fighting) a top JLA'er: going along with the above, no way Surfer is replacing a main icon, like Supes or Wonder Woman. Someone mentioned Captain Atom getting bumped. That seemed most likely.
