Haven't played it yet. I've never seen it on sale though. 🤔
It's rare but it happens. Got mine for 15 bucks on Steam.
And I'm super cheap, usually I look at sub 5 dollar deals. Takes a lot of consistent hype to get me to break down (Shovel Knight Treasure Trove I spent 20 on, to no regrets. Hollow Knight feels like piracy at the 7 dollar price point)

Speaking of Elysium, does it have any kind of combat? Or is it more like Fallout 1-2 without fights?

So far not seeing any combat. Might be some later though.
That doesn't mean strength is throwaway stat though, just about everything has little stat checks around all the stats. And I mean "everything". You get stat checks simply looking in the mirror and trying to figure out who's staring back.
And you sometimes get better content from the fails, so I suspect there's some parody in there.
DNF Duel open beta.
I know it's just a beta though, so I can't expect everything to go smoothly. Hasn't crashed but lots of disconnects, can't join lobbies sometimes, etc. I do hate the lack of training mode. I get that testing the network is the priority, but I like sampling the cast before playing people, even if the game is made to be easy to pick up.
That said, it does seem like a cool fighter, and I'm enjoying several characters. It will be interesting having to balance things with the MP system in play. It's a classic rpg mechanic that we don't typically see in fighting games, especially not when used for the entire cast.
Way too early to call stuff broken, but it does seem like a good way to allow "OP" things, as long as they cost a shit ton of MP and can't be spammed. Kinda like the Ranger's Wild Shot ability. Gives him somewhat of a way to escape pressure if he messes up, but costs a lot so you will still be rewarded for consistently chasing the zoner down.
The second King of Fighters XV beta is this weekend too. I can't find the game on the storefront for some reason though. 🙁
Second Extinction.
Right off the bat a bug puts you in limbo on a revive. The Dinosaur swarms can get a little ridiculous, especially for attempting an extraction. About a thousand dinosaurs and a giant triceritops makes getting to the dropship impossible.
Really this is Left4Dead with dinosaurs instead of zombies. And no computer AI helpers, so coop is a must.
That reminds me of Back 4 Blood.
They released an updated a few weeks after the game was out. It made the game almost impossible to complete. You were attacked by like 5-6 specials at a time...plus a horde. They also used these cards to change each run up...and instead of 2-3..you were getting like 6-7 of them...which mostly made the specials armoured and etc.
My friend and I were playing easy mode and having a good game....then the next day after the update (which we didnt know was updated)...it got super hard where we were downed a thousand times.
Yeah, I'd have more fun with a coop partner. As is I think I'll be spending more time enjoying the solo of Remnant From the Ashes, which I'm starting now.
Really well optimized game, games like Control lag all over the place on my laptop even at lowest settings but this runs really well, and has fantastic visuals.
Remnant is pretty fun. The enemy marking perk suits me fine, makes it easier to solo planning how to hit enemies and not get flanked.
The jungle in Adventure Mode has some nasty mobs for beginners. Super fast projectiles, randomly hops to break your aim and instantly throws two more as soon as they touch the ground. Trying to tackle more than two at once is pretty much doom.
