Well, I haven't played SotC since PS2 days, but I imagine it is because of the style of the game. When shooters are clunky and awkward, I hate them. When other styles of games have what one may consider to be awkward controls, it doesn't seem to bother me as much.
If you think it was smooth, ok. I didn't.
If you take 10 people who have never played Red Dead and then had them play 15 minutes of the original and 15 minutes of the sequel, I doubt a single one is gonna be like oh yah the original is definitely smoother and more enjoyable to play.
Had 3 on hold for nearly six months now. Kind of burned me out when I realized I accidentally skipped all the way to the end of the game, because I took those damned "urgent!" messages seriously and completed every single mission on the Krogan planet, costing a good chunk of content when the Citidal closed up.
Naturally, I restarted an older save, waaaay back.
So, you playing on the hardest difficulty? All paragon?

I play on normal. I might try hard, but stuff like insanity doesn't interest me.
I tend to play my default shep as a soldier, and make mostly paragon decisions. Saving the Rachni queen in 1, etc. He's still a soldier that regularly shoots people in the face, though, so he has no trouble kicking a merc out a window or sabotaging equipment to give himself a tactical advantage.

So you didn't hit the reporter?
I did, felt bad and reset.

In my first playthrough I did, but later on I came to realise that it's the kind of reaction she's trying to get in the first place.
She has it coming, though.
The only decision I really mull over when I play it is the Virmire one. I talk to Kaidan. I want to like the guy, but he's not remotely as interesting as Ashley the space racist. I haven't even shagged Ashley, but she just adds more to the story imo.
