It'll be a surprise if Goku ends up surpassing Beerus as Akira Toriyama has previously said that he had no plans for that. But since I have the impression that he easily forgets, the same could easily apply here. A shame really.
Even if that happens, he can "forget" again later on and just pretend Beerus has always been stronger.
Personally, I'd like to keep the current hierarchy and power gap. Feels like too many characters are closing the gap for no legitimate reason. SSB-level should be able to finger flick the likes of Trunks.

It's very likely that is what we will see happening, though I would prefer it not happening at all.
I agree, to me it makes good sense, having a bunch of characters with a level of power that is above the main cast. Imo it rarely hurts the story. I for instance never have the impression that if Goku and Vegeta runs a foe that they will struggle with, that Beerus is going to bail them out.
Yes the power levels, as off now are all over the place. I guess that is why I like the manga a bit more, atleast there you get a explanation.
descriptions of future episodes are out. Spoilers for sure. Pretty crazy though

I don't think you understood what I said. Akira is pulling parts from the Anime that never happened in the Manga. Example, Yajarobi didn't die in the Manga and never met the androids but he did die in the Anime by the androids. So if he lived in the Manga but died in the Anime by the androids but Akira wrote in Super episode that he died by the androids (which never happened in the Manga. He didn't even meet the androids), what is he using as a Canon source? Ding ding ding, the Anime. There's other showings as well but that should be proof enough. Now find a shoulder to cry on.
They assumed Yajorobi was dead in Trunks timeline, which has nothing to do with the mainstream timeline. That doesn't contradict a thing, because we barely saw Trunks future, and never saw Yajorobi in it.
Plus, you know, the fact 19 and 20 DIDN'T kill him in the anime, so you're wrong no matter what.

It has a lot to do with the mainstream timeline since again, in the Manga, he didn't even confront the android and here's the important part, "he did not die". He died (well, supposedly) in the anime, got a hole shot clean through him. In Super, Goku approach Yajarobi and he then tells Goku of the confrontation with the androids and we see the same scene that happened in the Anime with a hole being blasted into him. There's no way around this...sorry buddy;just give up. Again, he died in the Anime but lived in the Manga. We see the androids blast a hole in him in the Anime and we see the same scene shown in Super. At this point you're just trolling.

Well I don't think he'd have escaped the androids either way. We just saw him get hole blown in him in the anime, whereas no mention in the manga but...that doesn't mean he lived.
He explained that after they blasted him, Kami gave him a bean that healed him. They didn't disperse his body, they just shot a hole through him...something that DBZ characters have shown to live through.
"We can become immortal too!"
"How can we do that?"
Yeah, they'd need their own set of dragon balls to pull off something like that.
Is everybody in dbz stupid (A rhetorical question from a group that never thinks to wish for, say, a time machine or a lifetime supply of senzu..), or did Toriyama forget he just made the universal balls up, and there's TWO SETS of dragon balls bumming around? (
Dragon Ball Multiverse may have the best idea to make the humans relevent:
Turn them into androids. Bulma or Dr. Briefs should be smart enough to figure it out. Or they could introduce a new character that's Dr. Light to Gero's Dr. Wily.
And that way, they could constantly be "upgraded" to just strong enough to hold their own..
