"Human" basically means any mortal species. Zamasu and his boss(his name escapes me) were calling the Barbari people humans, and called Saiyans human, etc... Human is basically anyone not a "God" status like Kai or GoD.
Which would make it seem that Black might be another Kai who was corrupted by Zamasu, as Z is at least an equal, if not his superior.
Also his fighting style is pretty unique and makes me believe he's some sort of new being, as no one has ever "absorbed power/skill" from taking a beating before.

I said some pages back that black was the old man that is talking to Zam.
You know, the fact that they out of the blue revealed that when a Kaioshin dies, their corresponding Hakaishin dies too makes me think it will be relevant to the plot. Could Black be the Universe 10 Hakaishin? Not sure what his motivation would be to use Goku's body, granted, but the relationship between him and Zamasu would make sense if that were the case... Maybe the Hakaishin isn't allowed to leave his own universe himself?

Zamasu was just letting him, didn't care for Trunks, didn't take him seriously, while he still takes Goku seriously.
He also did well in some moments against SSR Black (fighting him and punching him to the wall, of course didn't hurt him 0.1%), while the same Trunks lost easy against far weaker version of Black. Didn't do anything to Zamasu nor Black, he pointed that even Goku lost (in a such way, that if Goku lost, that's it).
Or when Black attacked Trunks (and said to give him final blow), Goku quickly intervened and said Goku is his opponent (he knew Trunks would be done quickly, if Black wanted to).
No need to exaggerate or to take that seriously, because it's still obvious he is far below those four guys and he isn't able to fight them on equal terms, none of those four guys.

Trunks blade is made out of unknown substances. Don't understand why people didn't question it before hand. It sliced someone to pieces who withstood a planet exploding on him at almost near death.

My answer to all of this is, I don't know. I am going to say this though, the only way we know of a substance durability is by viewing the things it has been through. This sword blocked a powerful attack which speaks volumes. For all we know, it could be made out of that unbreakable metal that the Kai made.

Well, if it's broken, logically that might not be the same sword.
Like Yeo said, maybe Trunks got a more durable replacement.
