Actually everybody knew Goku was going to have a new transformation since when the new opening song has been introduced 5 months ago.
Moreover, Boogie Back tells us it constantly every week as well.
Being said that, the poster is from the official DBSuper source and has already been translated by Herms as well, confirming it (not that we actually needed it in order to know that this was going to happen sooner or later).
It is clear that this form is going to be related to the mastering of God ki. Remember what Whis told Goku right before he achieved SSB when he was training him? That's right, this form will put it on practice.
The manga is good and more accurate than the anime because Toyotaro leaves hints here and there about how the story will develop, and remember that, unlike the anime, Toriyama basically controls every panel which comes out. Well, what did the manga show us? That by avoiding leakings of God ki Goku can reach a completely new height of power with SSB, and he can even start to Hakai. Of course, he has not mastered this ability yet. When he will master it it will be when this new form will appear. The new tansformation will be the ultimate, the truly achievement of Gods' powers, indeed here's Herms' translation:
"The work of the Gods ends here" "御技="work (of the gods)" but 技 on its own="technique", so there might be a double meaning: "the technique of the gods ends/is perfected here"
Think about it like an Ultimate God form, much like the Ultimate form of Gohan, with the difference being in the fact that Gohan relies only on his own natural potential, while for Goku it will be an ultimate form related to godly ki.

Even if Vegeta doesn't get like a limit breaker or God ki perfected form, I would hope he gets a form or something at least either unique to him or another powerup that keeps him relevant.
He's not even one of my favorites, but I don't want him to be just another Z fighter who falls far behind Goku and possibly Gohan in the long run. One thing I've always at least appreciated about Vegeta was how he's kept Goku on his toes, especially with the head-start he got on him from surpassing Goku's SSJ3 when he was still just SSJ2 at the start of Super and then training under Whis a bit earlier than Goku to stay further ahead.
Maybe, we shall never know.
As for the first episode of the fight, not bad. A lot of characters seem to be skipping around though.

Cabba was hit by someone while fighting and then seems to be sitting around staring at fights, Lavenda and them just leave from Gohan and the group to fight Goku. You can't fly but 18 and Pride Trooper are in mid air fighting..

I'm getting a Whitebeard war arc vibe from this story arc (in terms of fight progression), so maybe it won't be rushed after all. We'll see.
Remember, Goku and Frieza first fight, the planet was about to explode in 4 minutes. They made at least 12 episodes out of that 4 minute explosion times.

So I think that as long as Goku is mindful about it, he can keep himself from being knocked out the ring no matter what provided he hasn't been KO'd.
I thought once you get knocked off, your abilities are gone as well which is the reason the girl was unable to fly back up.
