Frost has a personal grudge to satisfy, like Freeza to Goku.

But speaking of switching side, no idea how Freeza intended to be recognized as belonging to a new universe. Even if his deal was accepted, for the purposes of the tournament, what makes Zeno and the Angels accept he jumped from Universe 7 to 9?

Goku got to observe Hit in action, and Vegeta was drained from fighting two match's prior and using the stamina draining blue form.

Manga even made the point Vegeta would have won, and anime and manga are based off the same script. Vegeta likely defeats Hit now.

It's not like Hit is an impossible, unbeatable opponent, like Superman.

I don't read the manga, but fair enough if that is what it says.

It doesn't make sense to me though. It took Goku SSB KK X10 to beat Hit - are we saying regular SSB Vegeta was somewhere around 10x stronger (or whatever multiplier) than normal Goku at that point, or am I missing something?

In the manga, Goku never uses Kaio-Ken against Hit. He wins with SSB alone, kinda like he did in their anime-only rematch.

Yep, Super Kaio-Ken is anime only. Might not even really matter to the story and be there for artistic liscence.

If nothing else, anime Vegeta would get an an amp to justify it.

Now that you mention it, it was fairly similar.

For the better, IMO. People complain about how Hit was depowered in the manga adaptation, but I think the real problem is the trend in the anime where there's just guys all around that can go toe to toe with the U7 Saiyans. Remember that Zamasu and Shin both believed that a mortal surpassing a f*cking Kai was borderline impossible... The fact that Hit could even reach SSG-tier by himself, while never training or having to push himself, makes him a freak of nature on it's own. It would have been nice if he put up a better fight against SSB, but then again, he was nerfed by the tournement's rules so I don't see the problem tbh.

It's far worse that Goku's struggling against lava-spitting robots and protein shake-drinking bodybuilders despite having fought DB's Galactus-equivalent head on... In Superman's case it's forgivable, because he's being featured in hundreds of different comics that take up different interpretations of his character, but this is all happening in the damn show! 😂

They should of gave the power boost to Yamcha. Gohan is kind of a given, he's always been this wellspring of limitless untapped potential, he's supposed to have no ceiling, he just would rather read books and pet his kid or whatever. Yamcha though, if the desert bandit got that power up, sure some people would be upset, but we need SSB level Wolf Attacks...it's what the quiet majority want, the infinite masses that are too silent to speak but their heart cries out for [b]JUSTICE. 😛 We have seen a wolf fang fist at Buu level by the superior Gotenks. So that's close enough.

Yeah. Vegeta would've been able to finish him off if he wasn't being cautious/wary of Goku's kaioken.

Surprising how Vegeta got dumber the more screen time he was given lol. He took no chances and went straight to Ape form when he felt a legit threat from Goku.

To be fair, he didn't do it because he felt a threat. He did it out of anger. I mean his first reaction was to blow up the planet, which would have killed him also. And then he didn't proceed to instantly kill Goku but to torture him.

Just came across a largely overlooked panel in the manga today. During Magetta's fight with Vegeta, one of the U6 Kais remarks that he's a Metalman from "Galaxy 65950." Seems to confirm that there's at least tens of thousands of galaxies in the Dragon Ball universes.

In before Toriyama confirms "Galaxy 65850" is just the name of the 12th planet in that universe.

Uh, why did Qaaman change his name to "Detective Q"?

I think it worked for Vegeta in Namek because we needed a reason for him to be able to keep taking it to Frieza's henchmen and he had little to no time to train. I do think it brought a problem though because all it did was escalate the power creep.

Lazy as all **** but I think its better than the random rage boosts in Super.

Initially too with Z, the rage boost thing was basically only Gohan's shtick for him to quickly progress alongside other Z-fighters, but then Super gave the rage boost to Vegeta (in BoTG) and eventually others like Goku and Future Trunks, so it's a common as hell thing now. Of course, Gohan's still a hack now when his Mystic power can be used as a loophole for how much stronger he can become in an abysmally short amount of time, but yeah.

I wish Super took a more OG Naruto/One Piece approach and made fighters win with brains and techniques instead of simply overpowering opponents. There have been glimpses of stuff like it happening, but ...yeah.

Super isn't Stardust Crusaders or Battle Tendency, that's for sure.

Man. JoJo rocks.

Actually just starting the third act now.

The last few episodes of season 2 already changed the tone to more humor oriented (Mixing up poo with a Stand user infants baby food stands out)

Basically toilet humor, which isn't really my thing. But I think my favorite legitimate lol moment was poor Kakyoin struggling with the dream stand, and just making things worse and worse for himself.

"I know, lets carve the stands identity into my arm, so when we wake up and forget I can show everybody."

*Much later* "Hey guys, look at my arm!"

Joseph: "OHHHHH MY GODDD!!"

Everyone else: "W.T.F."

And his next brilliant move is just to attack the baby. 🙂

Juet found out something. The T.O.P stage is shaped like a spinning top and I wonder why? Remember the Priest made a rule that whichever team have the most fighter in the end wins? Look at the stage. The outer shell looks like a spinning top and the piece in the middle that goes down while time is passing, the tip of it is shaped like the point part at the end that makes the spinning top spin. Once it goes down far enough, it's going to start spinning so that all of the fighters would get propelled to the middle of the stage which would then put them in a situation where they wouldn't have a choice but to fight. The stage would probably break up leaving them with only the middle piece to work with and battle. Dragonball Super, the minds at work here is crazy. They even gave this tournament it's name based off their goals of this tournament. Art. Anyways

Spoiler:
]has anyone seen the new form of that Saiyan girl that kale follows

lol what did you do to notice, open your eyes? Couldn't be more obvious.

I bet the top wasn't even in the script. It's probably the various other writers inserting a metaphor about how even a toddler could have pumped out this script.. 😆

*obnoxiously applauds*

... Vegeta and Frieza's smiles there were more creepy than they were funny.
