I'm under the impression Old Kai said that because he assumed Goku would be permanently fused and therefore the fusion would be unable to fuse again.
But either way, that's just one method of fusion. I'm just curious if two different fused characters(like Vegito and Kefla) would be able to 'double fuse' into a new amalgam..? If not through Potara, then through the dance... mhmm
