Or him surpassing them due to his inner power would be a better idea tbh.

Not as much as Freeza becoming > SSB in 4 months.

He has a discord that he links on his twitter, which is where I talk to him.

Gohan's new form will be Ultra Mystinct.

This deserves a direct vid.

Surprised that Piccolo went out. Very rushed about U4 erasure. Whole episode was rushed.

Super arm stretch works to catch his son, but can't use it to catch himself, what a lame guy that namekian.

random thought-
are we assuming that all existing gods of Destruction have been in their positions for about the same amount of time?

i only ask because Belmond chose Toppo to take his position in the very near future, and its implied that this is the first time a GOD has retired- but i wasnt sure if it has been mentioned either way?? All the GODS seem like theyve known each other since "the start" also.

I don't think that was implied at all.

It hasn't been, afaik.

Beerus, for example, stated that he's been a Destroyer for hundredS of millionS of yearS:

Conversely, Belmond has been a Destroyer for exactly 87,910,715 DAYS(give or take a few):

...Which only equates to ~240,000 years.

So either U11 received a GoD much later than U7, or there have been previous GoDs in U11. /shrug

One was from the anime and the other from the manga, though. Belmod's rule was ridiculously short though... in this case the anime's actually makes more sense.

Does the anime give a timeframe for how long Belmond has been a GoD? If not, then there's no reason to question the manga's timeframe, imo... Especially when we know that new GoDs can be chosen whenever the current one is ready to step down(and/or Zen-Oh appoints a new one.)

The way Piccolo got eliminated was so phuckin lame I have no words for it.

Am torn still. I'm glad he got to do a good deal more than in the U6 vs U7 tournament (not sure though which is more lame between his elimination here or against a cheating Frost), but at the same time, am having a mix of reactions.

Piccolo has been given brief moments to shine in most sagas since DBZ...

vs. Radtiz
vs. Nappa(to save Gohan)
vs. 2nd form Freeza
vs. Android #20
vs. Android #17
vs. Frost(to an extent)
etc.

But his cumulative performance in the ToP was basically the best Piccolo has EVER been treated overall(at least that I can recall.) Granted, his ring-out was pretty lame, but everything before that was damned impressive, imo... Especially for him. /shrug

The only ones who have impressed me more in the Tourney are #17 & #18, tbh.

I guess with that in perspective, Piccolo still got the best moments here that he has in a long time. He’s more or less in the same ballpark as the Androids though, and if they outlasted him in the tournament I figured it would be due to the stamina thing, not... how he went down here.

Kinda stings in a way, but I’ll live. ermm

He will shine, we just have to wait like another 15 years.....haermm

Worst about it how he was all calculating and thinking during the whole scene tryin to be all strategic and shit just to end up like that....

Gohan still being relevant for Dragon Ball is the most retarded thing that has happened [next to Freeza skyrocketing].

He's the most lazy piece of shit ever, and he gets power-ups from nothing [Mystic Gohan] or trains with Piccolo for a few hours [!] and suddenly we should care.

The only good thing he did was make Piccolo interesting, for which I am grateful.

Indeed, and Gohan was supposed to be weaker from lack of training. Why in the world would he suddenly get bumped to Goku Blue level? What, could an extra half hour of training after his 14 hour powerup have taken him to Vegetto level?

At least with Freeza, the excuse is there that he never trained and was just born with untapped potential. Same with the androids, they're built to SSJ+ level, stack on some years of training and internally, the logic is there from Freeza.

But Gohan is just a gary stu.
