This is how I see the rest of the ToP playing out...

-Freeza eliminates Dyspo.

-Toppo eliminates #17.

-Gohan and Freeza team up and eliminate Toppo, but one of them is eliminated in the process -- I am leaning toward Gohan here, simply because Freeza is the only potential 'twist' left in this arc, imo.

-Vegeta gives Jiren hell, but ultimately falls. I'm guessing his rage-boost is sufficient to inextricably bridge the huuuge gap between he and Jiren(to an extent), like we saw against Beerus in BoG.

-Either Goku narrowly defeats Jiren, or there is a double-ringout/KO scenario(ie. they both collapse in the ring from sheer exhaustion, OR knock themselves out of the ring simultaneously, OR they are blasted out of the ring simultaneously by a cheap-shot from Freeza.)

-Freeza alone wins the ToP, and [presumably] gets to make a solo wish.

...evillaugh

^

I'd be down for that

They're not letting Frieza wish. After 17, he will probably be the one animated next. They are going to keep the 3 Saiyans in ending with Gohan beating Jiren. Remember, Gohan did mention that his goal was to unlock a new form never seen before.

That would be a hell of an asspull.

Don't get me wrong, Gohan's not terrible in the ToP like he was in RoF or pretty much anywhere in Super before the ToP, but he's just been kinda there... Have seen nothing that really builds up to him getting a new form that would topple Jiren.

Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely LOVE to see Gohan get angry and attain an entirely new transformation/level of power, then proceed to effortlessly shit-stomp Jiren... The fanboy in me YEARNS for such a thing.

But tbh, the plot seems to be angling more and more toward Freeza's machinations coming into fruition, so I see him being there at the end... Things can always change, though.

Yeah, there has been consistent buildup for Frieza. Gohan up to this point has had nothing of the sort.

It's not even a matter of whom I prefer or like more. Giving the middle finger to everyone whose been waiting for Frieza to do something big like they've been led up to believe would just feel wrong, and having a new form now would kinda make Ultra Instinct a red herring in the tournament or worse, devalue it.

Vegeta will go down like he tends to do, get in a few hits before being unmercifully stomped.

I would jump for joy though if that trend were broken this tournament and he stood at the top. (fantasy of course)

Also, I was so hyped for the preview I forgot to mention:

That was a fine episode. Android 17 has shined far more than I ever thought he would.

I cannot wait for next week.

Freeza gets the wish if these people have any sense of story telling at all..which I admit is a humongous IF

2 weeks..holiday break

🤣

This episode was one of the best in the TOP arc.

Robo Hildegarn/Janemba was cool as hell and 17 was simply amazing.

Jiren will curb Vegeta once he gets serious just cant see it otherway.

I'm glad 18 took the fall to save 17. She was still hurt and all that. 17 has to get the wish. Its who was the best in the universe and even if 17 loses next episode he has consistently done more than anyone. Freeza getting the wish because he survive longer would be bad storytelling cause he has saved Goku a few less times than 17 has... And not much else.

I think Vegeta will get his rage boost after being swatted away like a fly when he attacked Jiren from behind while fighting Goku. That's a hit to the princes pride if there ever was one.

I bet Toriyama typed the whole thing on his middle fingers.

This isn't Jojo, DBS isn't known for subtlety or creative, original plots. No way is Freeza stealing Goku's thunder, any more then Vegeta is.

And Gohan, 😂

I wonder if Vegeta will want to fight Jiren 1v1 to get pushed to his limits. Forcing him into UI like Goku was.

Maybe Vegeta learned how to go SSJGSSJ2 (SSJB2) biscuits

His SSJ2 aways looked nearly identical to his SSJ...

Well, SSJ2 makes your hair spikier, and Vegeta's hair is already as spikey as it gets.

It's like Nappa with his eyebrows blasted off, and going any SSJ.

Don't know why people are mentioning Ultra Instinct. Goku isn't winning this. He is too fatigued and worn out. Vegeta, Gohan, and Frieza are still fresh. Vegeta isn't winning it, Frieza sure as hell isn't winning it... Gohan is the probable choice imo.

Lmao.

Goku is obviously going to be fighting Jiren with Mastered Ultra Instinct. That is painfully obvious. Gohan won't be ringing out Jiren.

Indeed, Carv gives Dong Bong Smokeup too much credit. 😉

I'd love to have a moment where Gohan sees the team wounded and weary laying around, and he starts to get Cell Games PTSD where he even hallucinates seeing Cell mocking him, then he just starts thinking how he's going to lose everyone and how it's all his fault again before just snapping..

YouTube video

Probably won't happen but a boy has the right to dream I guess. My main concern is I'm just hoping they don't pull the whole "Frieza used too much power" causing him to poof back to Hell before an elimination or something.

Title of episode 123:

"Full Body, Full Spirit, Full Power Released!"

There are predictions that we will get UI Vegetto, as much as I hate Goku UI is just too cool to hate on and Im fine with him beating Jiren.

Still Vegeta winning is what I want but we all know that just wont happen.
