This all feels too quick and lackluster to be honest. Wish j could like it more.
People don't want it to drag out arcs and when it listens to that advice it gets called too quick. Considering it at the minimum is going through 4 fights to finish the tourney, and at the maximum around 9, you'd think limiting fights to one episode would be perfect timing. I don't know how much of a story you expect in a tourney setting or how you'd expect them to drag this out.
I might be the only one who consistently likes this show besides the 2 episodes the filipinos made. Even then that was only animation of which was still better quality than all other cartoons besides other anime.
Also it got to Vegeta time in 3 episodes. And that's pretty alright with me until he loses, which I hope we see Nipples do nothing and Vegeta wins the whole thing.
I just expect better done fights. The fights are too short, and the intensity is lack luster, compared to the fights of old. The movies have done a much better job in my opinion, the one truly satisfying moment I've felt in Super is Vegeta going ape shit on Beerus. And Goku vs Frieza was alright too.
I'm glad you enjoy it so much though, wish I could get into it like I was into Z.
That Frost guy was at least low god level, right? Or even if he wasn't, any Frost demon should be well above Piccolo's tier.. So how was Piccolo even able to last against him, much less restrain him?
"Worn down" isn't much of an excuse.. Vegeta was waaay worn down, and still stomped all over the Z fighters, even on his last dregs of power..
You can almost see him putting up a good fight against day one SSJGod Goku...

I'd argue that some short fights were interesting enough in the original series, I always thought 16 was a pretty neat character and his fight was about the shortest in the whole saga. I don't mind the lesser fights that are plot dependant (they remind me a bit of the Dragon Ball tournaments of old), but hopefully they are the build up for a serious fight.
Here is hoping that Nipples gets to fight and transforms himself into a giant beast with even bigger nipples.

Base SSJGod ki Goku could have soloed end of Z by himself, and likely give even Vegetto a decent fight.. (I'd argue just because Bills can beat him doesn't mean Goku can, especially at base.)
To fight base God ki Goku is a feat above almost anyone from Z, anyway you slice it.

Conversly, the fights from pre Saiyan Saga Dragon Ball also had a lot more going for them then Z. 😉

Any Tenkaichi/Budokai fight on Youtube is more entertaining like then the fights we're getting.
I'm still enjoying it for what it is, but it's definately not something you watch the fights for.

I doubt he could beat Vegeto without going SSJ. Maybe Super Boo. Also, Goku doesn't use Godly Ki in base; the power is infused within him, but humans can still sense his Ki until he uses SSJGSSJ. Champa and Vados also have yet to notice that Goku and Vegeta are in possession of godly power.

My main point though, is Piccolo had an inexplicable and SERIOUS amp, for him to even be capable of stalling Frost, tired or not.
Think about the difference in strength between ultra SSJ Trunks and the androids. Punch, dead.
For Piccolo to reach Buu level would be something, but he was stalling and restraining a guy who should be a good deal stronger then that, judging by how Goku needed to go SSJ.
