It actually doesn't. If Vader blocks it with his hand, there's no real hand there. Also clothes aren't the most durable thing in the world. They are very thin, and don't protect really well. A full case of armor that has been shown to take lightsaber hits, is different. Luke vs Vader fight. Luke cuts off Vader's hand it's just wire. We don't see a real arm or anything. Just bionics.

That isn't the point. The Ak doesn't physically cause damage it kills you despite hitting cloth which isn't alive. Vader dies.

Actually that was the point. Clothes are much weaker than armor. Also it's not as fast as a blaster which you haven't shown any proof for yet, so he woudl have time to pull his blade out.
