The only problem with not resisting arrest and giving the cops a reason to mess you up is that well...f*ck it they'll do that anyway.

Just recently a legally blind man "fit the description" of a suspect. The cops stopped him, he did everything they said despite not being able to see them. Then they slam him to the ground.

Of course there's the guy who got shot for following the officer's orders and trying to get his idea.

Etc...

It doesn't matter what you do anymore. If you find the wrong cop it's just a matter of how it happens, not whether it'll happen or not.

I see your blind man and I raise you a paraplegic man who the cops told to stand up and then when he told them he couldn't cos he was paralysed from the waist down they dumped him on the ground, breaking his ribs in the process

I think these two examples demonstrates that it's not an issue of "racism" but simply a point of judging and calling out wrong/bad behavior, and not finding ways to justify cops stepping over the line.

While racism is an issue, it's not the only issue. Yes there are very clearly racist cops, but there's also the cops who just see the world as fellow cops and people to dominate.

And that behavior will continue as long as the DA and pretty much anyone who can actually make a cop pay for their actions is only on the cop's side despite what they did.

The thing is, there are just as many white racist cops as there are black racist cops.
Racism goes both ways.
That's the reason why whites can't say 'nigga' when addressing a black American, unless he's half-black like Klay Thompson or Jason Kidd even if they ain't black at all.

The police need to be disbanded and we should have a civilian police force much like Obama used to talk about. I'm pretty sad he backed out on this idea.

We could all be apart of it and have arm bands designating different roles. It would be pretty sweet to police our own neighbors.

A normal person would be getting charged SOMETHING for doing this, but a cop can do it and not suffer a damn thing.

Someone in the comments section said killing a police dog is like killing a cop in terms of punishment. I hope that isn't true because if it is this cop not being punished at all makes even less sense.

I didn't know where else to post it, it didn't seem deserving of its own topic, but damn I hate people who leave dogs in cars. Police officers that work with these animals should know better. The cops choose to become cops and enter dangerous professions. The dogs do not choose this, so the least they could do is not lock them inside hot cars.
