Darth Marr being a Force Ghost is kinda strange, not that Sith can't manifest after death, but usually they are bound to a single location, unless tremendously powerful...
Marr being able to manifest on whatever that planet is called does kinda suggest he turned to the light side, which is an interesting possibility. Or maybe just by accepting his death he was able to become one with the Force.

I thought it was like when you die you automatically become one with the force. If you undertake special training you can maintain your sense of self and speak to force sensitives, if you complete the training you can appear to force sensitives. At least that's how it is in canon.
