Its dangerous because of all the pretty reptiles and insects with enough venom to drop 300 men in one bite. And the Salt Water Crocodiles which are easily capable of hunting people at 3 Metres long and can grow to 7 meters long. (most dominant males are around 4.5m long (that still huge))
