I can imagine the idea of tackling Batman after Nolan's Trilogy may seem like a daunting task. So I imagine it may be hard to find another top director to take it on.
I don't think they'll have any trouble as regards getting people that want to make Batman. He's a bigger character than any director. It's WB that i'd be worried about.

Yes, WB and the DCU have been extremely poor, but what I mean is I don't see many high-caliber directors wanting to take on a Batman film after Nolan did it so well. You see how we just got Zack Snyder who just does shit to "look cool," but in reality the movie sucked harder than a hooker with a special on BJs.

I'd honestly be surprised if many directors said no purely because of Nolan, especially after the somewhat less-than thrilling reception Rises got from some.
Well, even besides Nolan, many top directors don't like to do things that have been done before and have been done to death. So it's probably just going to keep falling into the lap of people like Snyder and Tim Burton who seem to value visual flare more than story or characters. And DC is probably fine with that, as long as it looks flashy enough to get butts in seats. So this may bode poorly for the future of Batman films.

I'd honestly imagine that a lot of directors have their own vision of what they'd do with Batman, but true, there would be a good number that wouldn't want to touch it either.
Saddens me that WB has DC over a barrel like this.

Zack you can't believe the official statements they put out. Affleck being all over the place in interviews then pulling out as director tells us a lot more than official statements which are clearly put out for damage control.
It's from Variety, so they're pretty spot on. Plus Ben never said anything bad about the scrip, so..
Not yet confirmed, but HELL YES!
