Well, if this is true, there goes Darth being right. I stated Ben will do Reeve's trilogy, too.

BREAKING: BEN AFFLECK SIGNS ON FOR MATT REEVES’ THE BATMAN TRILOGY, BATMAN BEYOND COMING AS WELL

Bros., Ben Affleck has signed on to appear in Matt Reeves’ The Batman trilogy. Reportedly, Affleck will assume the mantle of the Dark Knight for at least three more films, with the last leading towards a Batman Beyond film, which will kickstart the next phase of the DCEU.
“Yeah, he [Affleck] is staying on as the Batman. There were contract issues, but everything’s sorted now. He’ll do Reeves’ trilogy which sets up Batman Beyond, which will be the next phase of the DC film universe,” the source says.

You’ll undoubtedly be familiar with the news Affleck wanted out that’s been doing the rounds lately. However, this seems to be a problem of the past, as he has committed his future to the DCEU for the foreseeable future. Good news for Batman fans!

Eventually Ben will go. I hope they cast a good, young Batman. Hard to choose who could play him.

Yeah it's not me who reported Affleck was being phased out. It was The Hollywood Reporter.

Perhaps Ben and WB have come to an understanding now, but anyone who thinks there were no problems between them really does have their head in the sand.

I doubt Affleck will stay on for a trilogy.

For the record though I wanted that rumour to be true because of Batman Beyond.

Maybe two. Then the third movie they introduce the next Batman.

As long as it's still Bruce Wayne, I don't mind.

If that's what it takes. I know a lot of people have a raging boner for Batman Beyond, but I'm not one of them. I like it, sure, but to me Batman should always be Bruce Wayne.

Well I envision a Batman Beyond happening in a different reality, so keeping a Bruce Wayne Batman going as well.

So more of a spin off than a replacement.

They'll definitely use Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the Thomas Wayne Batman. Then once reality is put back to normal, I'm guessing Batman will somehow be younger, and not Ben Affleck.

Maybe they'll finally let Armie Hammer take a run at it.
