You can't move in space either, without propulsion.

And ?

Somehow, Lobo does both things. Moved around without his bike and everything in a few stories 🙂
.

...

He carries around "guilt grenades" that affect The Mask, for gads sake. How much more "Loony toon's" can you get than having a grenade that makes quasi omnipotent characters depressed?

That's out-of-topic.

The point is that breathing is as essential as Superman as it is to Goku.

With one being able to take months between breaths.

Sure, technically, Superman and Goku both need to breath. Practically, only one of them can be smothered as a tactic.

New 52 hold his breath during two month.

Nobody can breath in space. There is no air. ^^

It was always about holding his breath.

Nobody can fly or shoot fire out of their eyes either.

This has very very rarely been a factor in Superman's fight.

It can be a tactic but it has not much chances to work on Goku.

That's not the point.

Superman doesn't breath in space, that's a misconception so I corrected it.

That version, sure, but no version ever? Really?

You also didn't say Superman can't breathe in space, but that "nobody can" which makes it seem like you were using science.

You are aware comic book characters have been able to somehow breathe and even hold conversations in space, correct?

The space is a void empty in air.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/breath

breath (brĕth)
n.
1.
a. The act or process of breathing; respiration: swam down to the reef, holding his breath.
b. A single act of breathing: Take a deep breath.
2.
a. The air inhaled and exhaled in respiration: as long as there is breath in my lungs.
b. Air that is exhaled, as evidenced by vapor or odor: It's so cold you can see your breath.

Except if the character has the ability to produce or import his own air, he doesn't "breathe in space".

Superman just hold his breath in the space vaccuum.

You are aware comic book characters have been able to somehow breathe and even hold conversations in space, correct?

They have conversation but they don't "breathe in space".

Do you consider that someone with a vaccuum support "breathe in space" ?

That's not the way I am seeing it.

Yeah, it's more like they don't need oxygen or are holding their breath due to the super-lung capacity.

It's a viable tactic because Superman is much faster than Goku overall.

It takes Goku hours just to travel a million kilometer's. Superman's traveled 7 light years in a second, at the low end, and traversed entire galaxies in a short span.

Even accounting fof Goku's combat reflexes, he has no feats that can keep up with Superman's travel speeds. Superman can fly so fast, Goku simply won't be able to keep up.

And we know damn well that travelling speed means next to nothing in actual combat. This dance has been done a million times in the Versus Forum and it just so happens that we both have frequented it regularly for almost 10 years.

Goku's combat speed - even before the very first SSJ transformation - is immeasurably better than Superman's and you know it.

Ah, but my point is that when Superman does his smothering tornado, he used his TRAVEL SPEED! 😛

And by BG and your logic, Goku doesn't have the feats to keep up with a full on flying Superman tornado using TRAVEL SPEED!

The shoes on the other foot now! I should be a comic book vs lawyer. *Sits back and smokes a cigar, Fisk style.*

Superman never goes close to his top speed when he is using his travel speed to charge or anything so that's hardly a factor in a fight.

I can go as far as saying that Superman's travel speed is completely irrelevant.

That's exactly the point I made in that thread.

Goku simply flies out of the "wind" and blast the area Superman is flying in. Simple.

^ Or powers up, GT Vegeta style...

Superman can move too, you know.

And he flies faster. 😛

If we take in consideration Superman's track record against Ki-attacks I think that's an accurate description of what will happen to Superman when Son Goku will power-up.

Rest In Peace Clark. 😆

So Superman is faster than Instant transmission?

Locking onto Superman is going to get him away from Superman? (Since there's nobody else to lock onto in this arena..)

Ki in DBZ is not magic. Goku isn't Daniel Rand.

Magic energy and ki energy are clearly defined in Dragon Ball.
