Just rewatched the universe wave thing on Toonami.
The universe is still there on the third wave, so dead wrong.
And it's not even based on their strength. They clearly state the waves pick up in power the further they spread, so there's some wonky anime physics going on. You may as well claim you can block a waterfall of acid with an umbrella because Edward Elric essentially did this with toxic red water that makes up those faux philosophers stones.

Though their energy output is great, their durability is not and their strength is nothing compared to the likes of Superman. I would say that speed, strength of DB chars is in the low herald tier, while speed is in the mid herald. Energy projection goes into trans, overall mid heralds now or even high, before rather low herald or even below. Honestly and objectively speaking.

The punches aren't even the most impressive part of the fight, kek. Them pushing back and forth an energy ball capable of annihilating the universe, and Beerus nullifying it casually, are the most impressive parts.
The energy gaining in strength had a lot to do with that.
You can't say that was a result of their raw base strength, because it wasn't. It's anime physics at play.
Without context, you could argue Genis-Vell started his own big bang, and killed Eternity.

Nice punching Universe showing for Goku. He kills Superman just by waving his hand.

Just by staring at him with a simple kiai, actually.

So are you guys suggesting he's a multiversal+ being now? So the next time Grundy knocks his block off, it'll actually be a multiversal feat instead of hurting a herald?
We're saying Superman is variable, by design.
The Imperiex saga proves this.
Also, Grundy is magical, a weakness of Supermans. The same for comic book chi (Dragon Ball chi is specifically treated as seperate from the magic of beings like Buu or Babidi, while the chi channeling in the west is considered mystical (As proven from Danny Rand and countless other examples) ).
