Vegeta didn't struggle with cold. It didn't even phase him, nothing actually. He was punching that claw women with that ice 🙂 and of course then easily breaking that ice, not affected at all.

He's from a different universe anyway. And considering that Vegeta was hitting hard enough in base form to break the ring...I don't think it matters.

The ring is clearly < iron.
