The main thing is Goku breaks limits, while Superman has no limits to break.

Your argument is literally based on hyperbole from decades of authors making Superman, well... Superman. Superman has limits, and Goku passed them a long time ago.

Recent history says differently. Specifically, Superman was used as a battery to drag down the entire multiverse in Dark Knights Metal. That's the kind of power Superman possesses.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have emphesised the need for him. They could have replaced Superman with someone else, or even five other regular guys. But no, Superman was the "real" battery.
