Its not anbigious though. Hit stops time (which was said 3 times in the show) and Goku moved through it. 1+1=2. That showing doesn't even take common sense to figure out whats going on. 👆 It's obvious that Hit is stopping/skipping moments in time. The translation has nothing to do with it; the word "slow" was never used, hence why it's not in the translation. Although, moving while time is stopped has practically nothing to do with speed.
I'm curious as to whether or not were ever going to learn more about the technique. Are those green cracks just the animation for time being broken, or does Hit momentarily move in and out of a different dimension where time doesn't flow?

But DBZ is slow! And weak. Toiyama doesn't do "feats" like western comic books (Or even some better manga). It's all ill defined stuff that's only impressive because some supposedly "strong" guy says it is.
How fast are they? How strong? Who knows. Somewhere between Gorgon and Superman, that's for certain, but no real way of determining their limits.
They aren't holding up mountain ranges or outracing radio waves, though. Not moving between "nanoseconds" like Lord Majestros, or zipping across universes like Surfer and Kyle Rayner.
And busting a planet, you know how many comic characters could do that? Gladiator, for one.. We also know he could swim through a star, which I'm "pretty" certain can destroy a planet. Lord Ravenous, he walks through black holes.. Yeah, space kills Saiyans and being in the middle of an exploding planet seriously messed up Freeza..

As for speed, there is that one time that Gotenks circled the earth like a dozen times. Although the time period it took him to do so is unclear, we do know it could only range from a few seconds to twenty-ish minutes.
From that at the very least we can say that the pre-super characters are comparable to light in terms of speed. The Gods, which are indescribably above them, don't really need to prove that they can outpace radio waves really.

Goku almost destroyed a Universe with punches and kicks. Beerus and Champa was destroying planets with kicks and punches. Beerus flew from his planet to the other side of the universe in 1 minute and 40 seconds. Superman never out flew radio waves but I'm sure you will say he is light speed. Superman has never destroyed anything close to a planet but I'm sure you will say he is planetary. Darkseid doesn't have a single lifting ft or speed ft, where do you place him tier wise. Lifting fts isn't the end all be all. Doomsday hasn't lifted anything close to the size of a building and I know for a fact you would give him the edge over Goku. Don't be a troll.
