They are to top end of power DB but are also relatable to us as viewers because of their human characteristics. Which seems to give them a less Godly feel, unlike being like Galactus, Celestials and other cosmic entity.
Superman is actually more relatable than anyone in the DBZ verse actually. Are or you claiming a dead beat dad and husband that puts fighting above his family and friends relatable?

Galactus himself is far more relatable than Beerus, even with Galactus function in the Universe, he sometimes goes against that function.
He's even allowed Surfer to search for planets without life to feed on just so he wouldn't end a race of people. He's even went on longer without eating sometimes just so he wouldn't end a race of innocents.

Okay, but Goku is more than 70% as powerful as Beerus. Meaning that he can nearly replicate Beerus' feats. So if Beerus can move at trillions of times FTL, then Goku can as well, otherwise he wouldn't be able to even come close to competing with him in speed.
And what kind of heat gave Vegeta trouble? Show me what you're talking about, because not all attacks that look like fire are bound to typical earthly fire temperatures. Otherwise the Phoenix wouldn't be very powerful, and other characters like Firestorm wouldn't have showings NEARLY as high as they do.
The heat present in an explosion capable of universe busting? Something like that would make Galactus shit himself, let alone the Surfer.

He's talking about Magenta showing. Vegeta sliced through this same heat with his hand like it was nothing. He was also hit point blank in the body with this attack and it didn't even singe his hair. The only issue Vegeta had was being unable to breath.

Beerus was obviously holding back but he sure as hell didn't power up to fly across the Universe either. The only time we witnessed Beerus powering up was against the Z fighters.
