Here is the reason why Superman (as Clark Kent) wasn't affected by the Time Stop.
One of the Guardian asked him to search for Hal Jordan and tell him that he is the right Green Lantern successor on Earth.
Superman is so slow in combat that his supporter always hide his combat feats and tries to resort on some out-of-combat and out-of-context feats with no relevancy.

So, after looking up the title, I found out this story happened in Action Comics 642. In 1989.
How was Waverider in it when he was created in 1991, Carver? What, did he change history? Do you have the alt tineline version of the comic? 😂
Also, Abin (Who isn't a Guardian) only accidentially summoned Superman as his successor. Basically, the point of the scene is to establish Supes was chosen before Hal. And then rejected him on account of being a "non native", and proceeded to wipe his memory. He in no way "enpowered" Superman.
Sorry, but the scans are exactly what they look like. Clark Kent using super speed to overcome Hal's time freezing (And he did this to counter an argument from Deadman, who was essentially trying to talk Hal into just accepting the inevitable rather then fight it..)

All that you can prove with that scans is that, at best, Superman can counter a time-freezing ability.
Superman combat speed & skills sucks.
This is consistent in 75 years of publishing.
First I want to start off by saying I love this message board (Jehovah). Now on to why I think superman wins. Superman gets his power from the sun, so basically he's a walking mass of energy ( remember when dc changed superman to superman blue and red? They letting everybody know that that's what superman once were). Heat, which is the kinectic energy of seperate particles (particles are living organisms, which means they have intelligence) that make up the body, means that superman can attain an unlimited source of energy from the sun. The more energy these particles have, the more heat the body contains, and the higher its tempature (heat vision). Supermans eyes are filled with particles that are controlled by supermans thinking to produce heat vision or cold breath ( particles in the lungs that produces cold). I'll continue on the next post.
Goku is nothing but a walking source of life energy (which all living things have) that can create heat which is ki using his life force. Heat plus force equals a ki blast. Goku can't produce enough energy that equal a red sun or even enough that equal lava( it's why vegeta couldnt vaporize megaton). Lava has different particles that creates heat, so this is different from sunlight that strengthens superman. So back in the earlier days of supermans career he could get hurt by lava because of the heat that the particles produce. I'll continue on my next post.
The particles are kinectic energy that produces heat. It has its own properties. It disrrupts supermans bio aura, making him vulnerable to take damage. Now electricity( which beerus dodged) has different types of atoms that have different combinations of protons (which is a particle producing heat) and neutrons ( which is the same thing as protons or electrons, but it also paralyzes you) in their nuclei. All that equals a electric charge, which disrupts supermans bio aura that absorbs the Suns energy. It's not the same, it's missing the particles that strengthens superman. That's why a character like live wire could harm superman in the past with millions of Volts( something goku doesn't come close to creating). I'll continue on my next post.
Remember superman:the man of steel #66 when superman had to stop those men in space from destroying metropolis with several particle beams? Dc is letting everybody know that there's different forms of energy out there that can hurt superman because of the particles in them ( can beerus reach the sun?). Later in the book the villians combined the beams and hit superman, which caused him pain ( I don't believe Goku can produce as much heat). It's because the particles are being combined, giving off more heat( goku has force with the kin blast and is a different particle from the sun, so it's just energy going inside the sun, and that's why beerus was able to destroy the sun from a long distance since both him and whis will die from HEAT). What is a particle? Any of the units of matter inedian( HELP me is what you here for since goku doesn't stand a chance). What is matter? Substance of which a physical object is composed. What is substance? Physical material or matter basically. So basically the sun isnt going to hurt superman with heat because of the particles that help him get stronger. It's ineffective (the heat of a yellow sun).
Superman wins easy with a planet destroying punch (are you goku fanboys that dense?), blind goku (sooooooooooo easy for him to get blind), freeze him to death (gokus atoms aren't strong enough since beerus can catch a cold and zamasu energy sword can't cut through steel, which means he's not producing enough heat in his own body to hurt superman or have the body temparure to keep from FREEZING to death) since superman did freeze PLASMUS (it means he's hotter than lava) and SHARPNEL (any form of metal can hold anti freeze, but Goku can't survive that. But the metal will freeze at subzero tempatures. Shrapnel will stop moving. That's below absolute zero that superman has since he can freeze PLASMUS. And PLASMUS can't be frozen by subzero tempatues.), supermans movement speed is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay above sound speed (TRUNKS fail in comparison when escaping the explosion at top speed in normal state. Even if he wasn't ssj or ssj2, do you really think his speed will increase that much? No.). FLIGHT SPEED MATTERS (prepare yourself vegeta and fanboys, there's no hope. It means you're slow if you can MOVE LIKE A BUTTER FLY and STING LIKE A BEE. It means stick and move or ram into Goku and fly away before he can react. Vegetal is just defending and hitting stationary targets. His ass is weak.) since goku can't travel across galaxies like superman (he needs who's, both him and beerus) can do, superman can suck the oxygen out of goku (do you think he can prevent it? No.), or very easy fly to the other side of the planet or in space then use heat vision or cold breath to kill him. Also, IT GETS LOUD, I'm talking about super hearing. We as normal humans can't react as fast to a punch or kick from someone because we can't hear it. But what if we had superhearing, we'll have better reactions. So goku's predictable when up against SUPERMAN (obvious win, unless you're just oblivious).
