You are missing the point. I (and other rational religious people) reconcile my beliefs with those of other human beings. Do I support same sex marriage? No I do not from a personal perspective. But I do not oppose it either because the world doesn't revolve around me and my beliefs, and therefore it's not a sin to others. So when you "know" it's a sin, others may not share your opinion on the matter.

Sorry, but I'm not about to get into an argument over whether or not Christ is the Messiah because it would be a waste of my time. No one ever changes anyone's mind when it comes to religious subjects so guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. I've heard before that Jews don't believe in the divinity of Christ but I had hoped it was a lie. Sad to see that it's true, afterall. I sincerely hope you and all other Jews see the light before it's too late. Not going to derail this thread anymore so that's all I'm going to say on the subject.

There are always followers, whether they are religious or not. Religious or not people tend to do nutty things supported by their specific interpretation of whatever they believe. Peer reviewed scientific study is the way to get to the truth. It's good to shoot the shit along the way though. Watch out for the followers who take everything at face value.

I agree with your first two sentences. The last one is way off though. That's not a necessarily "more liberal" trait than it is a conservative one.
IMO conservatives are quick to make an opinion without making a well thought out statement. Yes liberals do the same. The reason? Lack of education, societal skills, social hierarchy? Absolutely. People are prone to dominate each other. Conservatives do it. Liberals do it. Liberals try and talk about it. Conservatives want to let nature run its course and say f it. I respect that and I could thrive as a conservative, but I don't agree with it.

That thread was equally poor but it never had anyone posting hate speech in it to get me involved and it fizzled out quickly. The way to react to bad threads is not to post equally bad ones and then start behaving unacceptably in them.
