Ah, but even if they claimed it was a religious necessity..how would they prove it? How would they prove this is what God wants? Conversion pretty much is always personal necessity, the more people they have the more power they have.

Here is what I want to know, why was this study even a thing? Aren't there more important things to study then what essentially boils down to a contest of "who is better liberals or conservatives?".

I think that's really a loaded question because I can turn it around and ask the same thing but substitute "atheism" or "lack of religion", and I would give you the same answer. It's a misconception (either accidental or intentionally produced by atheists) that religion and progress are mutually exclusive.

I did not know this until today..I guess because I never studied a cop car, but apparently they put "In God We Trust" on cop cars as well..wtf? Who do the cops report to that the separation of church and state doesn't apply here? I imagine they report to the city their department is in..so is that how they get around this?

But then no, that would make no sense if they'd say church and state need to be separate, but not church and city.

That's how the Founding Fathrers set it up. But then they intended that people treat working for the state like it is a Job. Not like how a lot of people treat it like it is a religion.

Yeah, ok. Maybe I shouldn't have used such forceful language. I usually just says "gays" instead of the other obscene word but I was extremely irritated at the Christianity bashing in this thread. Apologize if I offended anyone using that word but I'm most certainly not about to say "I'm sorry" for believing what I know for a fact is a major sin.

Where is that thread. Mine bumping it, I'd like to see if the attitude was poor as well about the topic.

The other thread wasn't dragged so wildly off course that he was forced to comment(it only got to 2 pages after all). Not the same situation. He didn't say anything here when it was still relatively on topic, apart from the hate speech comment.

I thought both threads were intended for humor honestly. I'd really hope no one is this silly.

You are mistaken, I just read it, it was dragged off topic. No poor comments made either.

There were some John Cusack or wtfever comments made, then it went straight back to the topic.

I mean, this thread was just...out there. I was at fault as much as anyone, but it was way beyond the scope of Star's little crusade.
