This actually isn't true. Or it is half true. What religion someone is..is irrelevant. But if we found out Obama has been saying he isn't Muslim but it turns out he secretly is? That would be quite relevant. Not because of the religion, but the lie.

I'd have just as much a problem if you had a president going around saying he was Christian and then it turned out he was lying and is an atheist. Why? Because it is a lie and then it leads me to wonder "if this person lies about this what else have they lied about?". It also leads me to ask why they lied, was it to manipulate people into voting for them?

Yea, as far as the lie you're right.

Since if he is Muslim and just lied it means he did it in order to most likely manipulate us into voting for him. It would mean he potentially thought "I can get more votes if I pretend to be something I'm not".

You need to be able to trust what the president tells you. Which is why Hilary Clinton to me is like the anti-president.

Hilary is a joke and her supporters are morons. I would hesitate to call Sanders supporters dumb because I can excuse stupidity due to naivete. I wouldn't call Trump supporters that much better than Hilary/Sanders. How many presidents have you "trusted" in your lifetime?

Snopes claims it's only partially untrue, which is unfortunate. They didn't need counseling for it, but they did protest someone merely writing "Go Trump" in chalk.
