Not in my opinion, and I believe the death penalty is outlawed in Italy as well. Imo, if he did murder her he should face a long sentence, perhaps life in prison.

Why not death? He possibly killed a innocent person.

I don't know, the article doesn't say anything about possible motives. Perhaps anger. Or perhaps he is someone who enjoys violence and killing people. Or perhaps it wasn't him at all. We'll probably find out more in the future. I hope you keep us updated.
