I'm just in disbelief that the same people championing the rights of illegals and refugee's..built walls and fences to keep certain people out.
It's like finding out the guy who started the "war on drugs" is a heroin addict. It's like finding out Donald Trump built a secret tunnel meant specifically for illegals to enter this country unnoticed.
I'm super curious about the inevitable excuses that people will use to try to justify this.
Oh I will still listen, but I will do so with the knowledge that these people are apparently hypocrites. I'd prefer if they weren't, I'd prefer if there was a legit explanation. I'd actually prefer if people were just very misinformed and they didn't actually ever build a fence or allow a wall to be built.
I'm not saying I think people are wrong, I just wish they were.

It's even worse here. The Government wants to
1) Prevent Illegal Immigration and allow legal immigration only
2) Get rid of the human Smugglers by preventing illegal immigration
3) Deport illegal immigrants to the countries they are from if they are safe (iow Safe-countries-of-origin)
4) Help stabilize/improve the situation of the countries where the refugees come from in order to prevent them from fleeing.
But you have to know this
1) There is no way to legally come to germany as a refugee from the countries they are normally from because they have to apply for asyl in the EU country they first put their foot on (legally) which by the boarder policy is impossible now.
2) They put the spotlight/blame on the evil smugglers in order to get the attention from the shitty immigrant policy they enforce now.
3) They now treat Turkey as the country for origin of Syrians and other and deport them to the concentration camps there, without even considering that this is and never was the country they came from.... it just sounds nice to say it... so the people in Germany don't complain
4) So since Turkey is considered the country where the refugees flee, even if they are Syrians the bombing will continue and they won't help stabilize the situation there but give the Turks money so they prevent the Refugees from traveling to EU, if they do it's illegal and they are deported back to the camps, which they are not allowed to leave btw...

At this point I'm not sure how we even take these countries seriously. They really do have this weird set of rules that only seem to apply to Donald Trump, but not to anything or anyone else.
I mean Trump says he wants to temporarily ban Muslims and they flip out. Obama more or less tells the refugee's the equivalent of "stay the f*ck in Europe" and I don't see petitions against him. Granted there was some backlash, but it was hardly as bad as for Trump and this is the ACTUAL president saying this shit.
Obama even seems to buy into the whole "there is a rape culture in America" thing as well lol. This is a man who supposedly went to Harvard no less.

At this point this is too little too late. But at least they finally figured out that a policy of simply "waving people through" is stupid. Of course by this point the damage has been done though.
Though I think they should also address why they tried to cover up stories about migrants raping people.

40,000 non-Muslim migrants harassed in German centers over their religion
Up to 40,000 Christian and other non-Muslim refugees, currently residing in migrant centers in Germany, are being discriminated against and harassed by other asylum seekers, and even guards because of their religion, human rights groups have said.
The groups, who presented the results of the survey at a press conference, said they interviewed at least 231 Christian migrants, who had mostly arrived from Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
Of them, at least 88 percent said they were harassed by Muslim migrants due to their religion, according to Open Doors Germany group, a mission supporting the persecuted Christians that took part in the survey.
