German police blame crime increase on Chancellor’s migrant policy
ANGELA Merkel’s open door immigration policy has been given yet another blow as police blame it for crime increasing by one third.The police believe that crime increasing by 31.6 per cent to 436,387 offences last year is because the Chancellor is allowing too many migrants live in the country.
And German police President Dieter Romann reported he wants his country to have stricter rules for letting migrants live in.
In the recently released report, Mr Romann said that there was a “migrant crisis” which increased the police’s workload
Theft offences increased by 11.9 per cent to 57,146 cases last year, the majority of them were committed in railway stations and on trains.
The police also recorded an increase of 5.1 per cent in cases of pickpocketing.
The number of offences related to residency and asylum law has boomed to 151.6 per cent to 171,477 cases last year.

The report has claimed that Syrians are the biggest migrant group who illegally enter the country with 73,920 cases last year.There are also high numbers of Afghans with 38,750 illegal entries, as well as Iraqis with 22,394 illegal entries.

Fed up Germans are even leaving the country creating gaps in the economy.
