They deserve to go under. I don't think they will and it will be a huge shame for people working in their factories, but this is what happens when capital owners don't realize they are supposed to be responsible with their resources.

They will. They'll scale down and restructure the VW brand, spending the next 10 years trying to repair their image with great deals and incentives.

Pure awesomeness. I am glad they are shutting the cheaters and liars down and exposing the truth.

i should have been specific. i suppose in your action-film imagination the swat team rappelled down the VW building, crashed through the windows screaming "GET ON THE ****ING GROUND!!!!" (american police, of course), and handcuffed the CEO.

actually they knocked on the door with a warrant, walked in, grabbed the hard drives they were sent to get, thanked the VW execs for their cooperation, and left.
