Obama Slam's German Auto Maker for Cheating on Emissions

Chose an article on this to summarize for one of my classes. VW may be devastated beyond repair by this depending on how payouts are handled.

Currently over 30 states--30 in a coalition, plus seemingly California and Texas acting separately--have entered a joint investigation headed by their attorney generals. This is on top of the federal government's pending actions and litigation, individual lawsuits, and France, Germany, and other EU powers taking action against them. There really may be nothing left in the end depending on how damages and penalties are structured against the company.

What a bunch of dirty cheating liars.

I would love to see a fix by then, some people are saying it can't be fixed, hence why they cheated.

It also seems unlikely that Volkswagen was the only car manufacturer unable to meet guidelines (especially by such a huge margin), I assume we'll see more stuff in the same vein.

Ford knew about the problem and rolled them out anyway. That scene in fight club where ed norton is describing his ****ed up job, is based entirely and quite accurately on the ford pinto scandal.

You can report whatever you want, you've already been told to cut out the phony reports though. It's pretty obvious I didn't follow you around, I was replying to Bashar, when you came in and laughed at the Ford Pinto scandal.

Besides laughing though, do you have anything to say about the things Ford and GM does, don't you think it reflects really badly on Americans? I mean those dirtly, cheating liars knew they would kill people...and they didn't care.
