Except there has to be some reasonable expectation to be able to get the other team to submit. I'm not talking about a powerful foe that you hope you can outmatch - his null field hasn't ever been breached. He's never been knocked out. The Karmic Blast may work, but outside of that, he's stopped Quasar, Hulk, etc. Once in the field you're less than human as you can't move at speeds fast enough to do any kind of damage, at all.

I'm just saying it bears consideration.

Also, Happy Birthday Darksaint.

Blair, as you wished me happy birthday, I will give you a gift.

Aikido will sort me out.

Edit: that's a cosmic cube, btw. So even at super high levels of power, you can aikido me into submission 👆

Got a question. The rules say no time manipulating. Does that mean no time manipulating period or just against your opponent? Example...Zoom powers is based on time manip...if he was used would his power be disqualified period or since it isn't an offensive power, he is able to use it since it is being used against himself. Hope that made sense.

Period. Someone wanted Kang to be able to get weapons via time. Wasn't allowed.

No time manipulation period.

I've been drinking since lunchtime.

😆

Thanks I'd and Blair. I had a perfect plan. It would have been so good that you all probably would've called it cheating.

Lol...licking Carvers lips? Really

With illegal characters, of course 🙂

Check my sig out, carver.

Hope I get drawn against you.

Oh, B-Dubs, another way you can beat me is by making me sad:

So when are drafts over, btw? Understand if others wish to redraft etc, but a firm deadline is best, as always. I reckon I won't redraft from my current pick.

Midnight tonight since you're around even on your birthday.

Final

Sunday at noon after your birthday should be the end cause things are still in contention.

EDIT: Oh. Forget that. What Gundam said. Gundam, will you be around today to lay down the law?

But he's here now. It'll be over quicker

Yes

Okay. I'm on the verge of changing my team to what we discussed Gundam. Just finalizing one pick.

Current question on the table, Gundam: Erads (mid-herald manipulation). Current rules say Low Herald only.

Its my understanding that the level of power was raised from Low to Mid Herald the moment Psycho allowed Mid Herald to be drafted. Therefore the mattater manipulation feats done by Eradicator fall within the limits of this tournament.

The Soul Gems sentience is symbiotic in nature. The gem by its self is not a fully functioning life form on its own. Therefore the gems intelligence should not impact the draft.

The Venom Symbiote is also sentient, should Venom and his kin be banned as well? Nova A.I. is also sentient, should Nova Prime outed as well? Or what about Fantomex, and the fact that he can draw out EVE who is a sentient being herself? Should Fantomex be banned?

Here's I'd response to that Psycho.

This was taken from the previous tournament, but was never updated the higher level of drafts.

With the exception of the Speed Force, you can draft Characters that can manipulate matter at a Mid Herald level.

You can apply this ability to the environment. You can not use offensive matter manipulation on your opponent.

If your opponent shots lazers at you, the lazers can be turned into harmless energy or matter like roses or something.

You are allowed to transmutate the environment. Turn the lakes into lava or whatever.

What you can not do is offensive matter manipulation on your opponent. You can not turn your opponent into a tree. You can target his tech or gear but the character itself.

"Banned Powers: Reality Warp, Time Manip., Duplication, Power Copying, Autonomous Constructs (tech or magic), Memory Retention

Note: Space Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, and the Speed Force is allowed provided that the drafted characters are low herald and below.

Technically, the rules as they were written by ID weren't altered by me when I increased the power of the character picks so changing that would require everyone else to agree to let a character slide with the stipulation that their matter/energy/space manipulation would be relegated to lower feats. It's that or the rule is honoured and the character is banned outright

Speed force isn't an exception as the sentence is read or understood IMO
