Before I draft, I have a handful of questions that I want to pose to the tourney:

- I want to better define the "functional immortals" rule. Lobo and Mr. Immortal are banned, OK. Deadpool is banned though? What about characters that are notoriously hard to kill --> Darwin? Hulk? Vandal Savage is immortal, but can still be KTFO'd.

- Prep time only allows for standard shields. Are ANY other actions allowed in prep? I realize it specifies in the rules that you can't cloak, phase, shrink, etc. I just wanna know if that's cool with everybody, cause to me, it feels kinda limiting.

- Absorbing Man and amping. I don't want to call out Blair's strategy (sly), but I am curious about where the line is, given that his power is basically self-amps.

Great example!

In Cable's "God-like" arc, he had Deadpool's healing factor.

Does this mean Cable violates the 'functional immortals' rule?

I agree with this. I don't need a full on prep-style tournament (admittedly, my favorite kind), but a literal (no time manipulation) minute or so to prepare for the battle would be nice.

I'd be fine with a couple seconds, but allowing for more options than traditional shields.

I'm also just curious how other people feel about it though.

Deadpool is a functional immortal due to his agreement with Death similar to Deadpool.

Cable although he benefits of having Deadpools healing factor, he can be overwhelmed and Killed.
