Broly has an immense amount of Ki due to his LSSJ form, his body struggles to contain it. Goku overloads Broly's body with Ki, making it explode. Broly survives.

Yeah, you're most Def blind. Look at the showing again. He was obviously hit by the lava as shown when the lava circled his body. Wait, you need proof. Look at him before the lava hit him. He was clean, his clothing wasn't damaged. Look at him after resurfacing out of the lava. Clothing damaged with holes, his skin has marks on it. The lava circled his body but it did nothing. No damage. You're better than this bro.

All I did was post the clip and explain what happened. Don't get all butthurt with me.
I never said lava would kill him. I clearly stated "Gohan believed it would". Do you disagree with that?
Then I said he used his shield. He did. Did he need to? An argument can be made for it seeing as how he used it. If he didn't need it why didn't he just pop out unprotected? Lava touching him briefly and being submerged in it are two different things.

His entire body had black marks on it. He was submerged in lava. If it could ki him, he would've died.
Why not use a shield instead of getting lava in your ears and eyes? He stayed in the lava for quite a bit...why not chill in there with a force Field? What we do know is he was ok with the covering of lava around his body.

Again I'm not saying it would have. But it clearly can hurt him and he felt he needed to protect himself. Gohan wouldn't have thought it a viable option if it wouldn't do shit. He's not dumbass Vegeta
He was ok with the lava briefly touching him. We don't know how long he was in contact with it. He could have put up the shield immediately or not. We don't know. But we do know he used his shield instead of tanking(which is what he does to pretty much everything else). And we know Gohan felt it was a good plan so we can at least say for sure it would have harmed him.
Goku was afraid of fire. It seemingly hurt him. While it isn't canon to the main story it IS canon to the Broly films. Lava hurting them is not an outlandish idea. Hell it was even brought up in the Goku/Frieza fight in the anime. Don't really remember how that played out tho. Did Goku use a shield as well?

I don't know where you get the idea that it can clearly hurt him when it didn't. He wasn't phased at all by the lava and it circled his entire body as shown during the Gohan and Broly scene. Doesn't matter if he used a shield afterwards. What we know is lava didn't hurt him when it touched his skin.
Yes he was ok when the lava touched him. If it could've killed him, he would've been seriously injured during the time it did touch him. Get it?
