Hero cop saves room full of students

Maybe you should post the story and video, that way we can see the context, cos that's kind of important.

eg, if this girl was violent and had bitten down on Officer Slammy's arm, him tossing her to break the bite would probably seem reasonable

Well you can judge for yourself why:

YouTube video

It was a male student though not a female, but gender shouldn't matter.

But you realize people in this very thread said there would never be an excuse to treat students like this. The cop actually seems to be punching with full force at times, though he usually just hits air.

I was right, black cop fighting a black man.

Rob will try to find context because he is a minority caucasian, but he will be wrong.

No sound on this comp and it's hard to tell what's going on because instead of showing the video outright, we get to look at a small sideways view of a screen in screen.

Anyhow, it looks like the student is both acting aggressively and at one point shoves the officer, which would be like an attack. So I'm not surprised there was little to no backlash considering the student's violent behavior.

So then all that stuff about how no matter what cops should be trying to avoid doing shit like this that people were saying in here is..out the window now?

Well we don't know the full context, video starts off with the cop restraining the teen around his chest (not death-choking) and then the teen gets in his face and pushes him.

How you can compare the actions of this officer and this teen to Officer Slammy and Girl-Who-Stonewalls is beyond me. Well, it's not really.

Serious question, exact same incident in the video I posted happens, but the cop is white. Do we see the same lack of media coverage yes or no?

Plus as I said: people were condemning taking any action against a student, at least some were. But then maybe this video shows why that line of thought is silly?

Would never be reported on.

Probably yes. No one really gets up in arms when officers are attacked and they defend themselves within reason. If what little we see in the video is correct.

Again, we don't have all the content, we see it after it has already started.

"Minority Caucasian"?

Students at the school stage a walkout in support of the officer who was fired over this:

It should be noted that many of the students who were supporting him in walkout at school were black. I guess they're all racist too, huh? 🙄

Uncle Toms, perhaps? LOL.

Lol I was just about to post that link.

Oh well!

Different people have different opinions. They are obviously in the minority, and authorities even disagree with them (which is uncommon), but they are entitled to theirs.

A peaceful protest is a good way to make their opinion heard though, so good on them.

OH, so now "different people have different opinions" but when someone on this site disagrees with the way you or progressive liberals feel about this incident they're labeled "racist". That makes sense. 🙄

That depends on what is being said. Disagreeing alone does not make one racist, talking about "hood rats" or "ghetto mentality", etc, that is racist though.

Seems the fat man is after you again.

This is far too common in black schools or by black students. They aren't raised to respect authority, because doing so makes you an uncle Tom. They aren't raised by a father to enforce rules. And when they eventually get in trouble, their ghetoo queen moms take their sides.

Its a problem with black culture being inferior as much as its a problem with cops.

The link isnt working.

blah blah respectful blah blah both sides.

mmmm these boots taste like snozberries!
