We as people likewise have no clue that these things exist and thus why should it make the news? I understand now. I always thought the news should also be used to draw attention to things people aren't aware of just as much as it is used to draw attention to things people know exists.
But you are indeed correct, we do know that a very small percentage of cops are d-bags.

You can't expect every crime in a nation of 300+ million to make the national news. The fact that the acts of some two random dipshits didn't get reported doesn't really surprise me. What I would be interested in seeing is whether it would have been reported if these two were black cops.

No, I think you fundamentally do not understand why these videos of cops abusing their power at the expense of black people make the news. But I'm not sure how to explain it to you beyond what I have done in this and many other threads, but you rest assured that most everyone does understand why one is newsworthy and the other is not, so the misunderstanding probably does lie with you, rather than with everyone else.
