Genocide? Seriously? And yes, there is a *lot* the world can do about genocide. And attempting to do so would cost vastly more lives than these attacks- if your response to death is vastly more death, you are not on the good side. And no, the vast majority of the people living in the Middle East have precisely jack and squat to do with attacks like this. It's a region full of many peoples, not a convenient block for you to fit your stereotypes on.
I've got a family member who has an apartment in Paris (though, fortunately, is in Berlin at the moment) and friends there. Responses like yours do not help.

Actually, that was just one of the reasons it was considered unlucky. Pretty sure it started with Christ. Supposedly, the day He was crucified was on a Friday and the 13 has something to do with the apostles of Christ, I think. I could be wrong but, iirc, Judas was the 13th disciple.

While we as a world community should totally hunt down those actually responsible, trying to take it out on vast groups not related not only is misguided, but it also feeds into exactly what the kind of people who do these sort of attacks want. They want a giant 'clash of cultures' where millions die and all the Muslims who'd rather go on with their lives are drawn into it.
