He only means ships, and they don't go at lightspeed, but at fractions of it on the more powerful ship cannons.

Science fiction is never great at science fact. A ship at ftl would gain a nigh infinite mass and tear the universe apart like a rapidly moving black hole

The Leviathan from Resistance puts Shepard to sleep. MAWLR would accidentally kill him as well. Alma is a good one to throw in there too.

ME isn't a fps, though. Why not just take feats from the same genre? (Or why limit genre's at all?)
