That would be stupid. So far Ezra is acting like a good barry. And we've only seen like a minute from him. Don't judge on a teaser trailer.
DT isn't wrong. Grant has done a great job bringing Barry to life, even if he never really looked the part. Miller is a step down. They should have casted him as Wally or Bart instead if they where going to take that route with his personality.
Originally posted by marwash22I'm not saying his acting is the problem. I'm saying the character they're having him portray isn't Barry. Thats why Millers Barry is a step down from Grants.
😐Miller is a step down, in what way? Certainly not acting. The problem is the writing and direction, not the acting talent.

Ezra's character comes off as nerdy and talkative. I think that fits Barry overall. Pretty much every Flash fanatic is really liking Ezra.
"I... need friends..." :/
Bart was pretty smart too. Barry may be a nerd, but he's a respectable one with his own identity. He's also always been more serious as a character when compared to Bart, Wally, and whatever Miller was there. They're doing the same thing they did to Quicksilver in X-men, to Barry; making him the speedster joke character (a comic stereotype created by Wally, and taken further by Bart). That wasn't Pietro, and thats not Barry.
I'll give him a legit chance, but he is off the mark with what little I've seen.

Remember, Ezra is playing a young Barry Allen. I'm not an expert on Barry, but how was Barry when he was young?
Originally posted by Zack MNever seen a young Barry, so I couldn't tell you. He was a grown man with an occupation and a fiance when his series started.

I suppose I can buy Miller portraying a younger version, but in that case, it still makes no sense as to why he's not Wally or Bart who were both young when they started off.
Either way, I'll give it a legit chance. I used to not really like Grant for the role of Barry either when he was first announced since he didn't look the part at all (looks closer to Bart than Wally or Barry). He ended up portraying Barry well though, so I came to love it. We'll see.

I was thinking the same. Trash outfitI will say that the effects for his speed are well done though (even if his a bit slow; that batrang shouldn't be moving period).

Why did the effects for his speed (in the trailer) have the blue lookin lightening like Zoom though? Shouldn't it have been yellow?
Either way, I can let the aesthetics if the lightning pass. Yellow would be better, but he has more glaring problems than that at the moment.
EDIT: Oh, you mean Zoom from the show. Blue was a new thing for him there, but I can live with it.
^ Don't think those are Flash fans. Just some general movie audiences who think this Flash guy seems cool.

Seems they got the idea for the Flash's costume from the Injustice Game.
I'm unsure if that costume just doesn't work in live action, or if they've just not done it right.
They may have overdone it with the "bright colors."
