If Carter had read the actual comic instead of just looked at the pretty pictures, he'd know the writer fully intended the Imperiex Probes to be just as powerful, mentioning how much of a threat they were before, but Superman surpassed prior limitations. 'Cuz that was the ****ing point of the scene. An interview with the writer also corroborated it. But we know Carter will bring-up "no interview" rule when it suits him, while citing what writers have said when it helps his case.
