Any other user reviews ? Trying to decide to watch this or not.

I'm sure it's pretty similar to the other four films, so go off that.

These movies are hit or miss for me.

I enjoyed the first one, the second one was meh, Rise of the Lycans I enjoyed, 4 was terrible.

I'll end up watching this one but it will probably be a letdown.

The first movie has a lot of problems but for the time it was acceptable. Unfortunately, the next installments didn't do much to improve on the problems. i did like the third one quite a bit though. This is a netflix movie for me though

It is.

Get some popcorn & booze (lots of the latter) and you may enjoy it. I went sober, basically wanting to see Tywin and Edmure, because I'm a GoT fanboy.

Maybe the series is better when you marathon it...

I really liked Markus, and all the hybrid stuff from Evolution, I'll still most likely see this, but I'm not expecting much.

One and three were good money. Two was passable. Four was amazingly bad, especially considering that it still had the full production value of the first three.

The 4th really isn't as bad as I had initially thought. It's really the natural progression of the story. But yeah, the 3rd really is the best. Funny that the prequel is the best. I think part of it is that there is sort of a clash with the subject matter set in more modern times. The medieval setting was very cool and Michael Sheen is very charismatic and awesome going up against Bill Nighy.

IMO, Michael Sheen's character was one of the best parts of this franchise, which is why 1 & 3 are also probably my favourites.

Yeah, he's very likeable.

Just got back from Blood Wars.

It's good. I thought it was a lot better than the last one, Awakening.

This film harkens back a bit to the original, uses some similar plot development, but also adds some new mythology/fantasy to the series. Charles Dance is really good and even Theo James does well. It's filmed very nicely and features plenty of dark eye candy. I was surprised that Selene's highlights actually sort of make sense in the movie, haha. I rather enjoyed it. Go out and see it if you're a fan of the series. I do recommend brushing up on the previous films, though. I'm glad I did because it helped me follow this one quite nicely.

It's already done pretty well at the overseas box office on a low budget of only $35 million. That's dirt cheap by today's standards. (BoxOfficeMojo)

Why did they never bring Michael back?

Pretty stupid.

Because Selene is a tragic heroine. She's lost everyone she's loved.

It works well for this film.

Do you mean the latest film?

Because I felt like it hurt the 4th one.

He's too big a part of the story and mythos to not be in the movies.

I thoroughly enjoy these films...

I liked blood wars a lot

I agree about Michael, he was an interesting character. Especially since in the 4th film he pretty much seemed to be about to escape that facility he was being held in, yet he is nowhere to be found?

It makes you wonder if they got rid of him because they didn't want another good guy who was even more bad ass than Selene.

@Surtur & Mindset

Michael's absence is explained in Blood Wars, even if somewhat briefly. Why Selene escaped and Michael didn't.

I know why he isn't there, I'm saying that he needs to be present in the movies.

No, I'm sure a check of wikipedia will reveal a host of lucrative roles he will be doing int he future.

*Goes to his wiki, clicks filmography section*

I see. Well no future projects planned, but he does currently star on a tv series called "Animal Kingdom". Which I have never heard about until now.
