I know why he isn't there, I'm saying that he needs to be present in the movies.
I used to think so, too. But I really don't think he's missed much. He was actually kind of boring. Pretty wooden character if you ask me. There's far more interesting character actors in the series and Kate Beckinsale fills the gaps perfectly with some emotion attachment for the audience.
After Awakening I was a little concerned with where the series was going. But to me Blood Wars sort of put it back on track.
I'm excited to see where they go with it from here.

It's doing okay over seas. And it was cheap to make. Budget of only $35 million. Time will tell.

And that last battle.... Dude talk about anti-climatic.
I actually liked it a little smaller scale, a little more intimate. It's not a ridiculous Marvel movie climax with too much shit going on.
And Marius's
Spoiler:... fu#k yeah.
decapitated head
The main negative I found with the film was the design of Marius's shapeshifted form. He looked like a goofy hairy oaf. They should have gone back to the drawing board for that. Maybe they couldn't afford Patrick Tatopoulos or he wasn't available or something. Whatever the case it's a shame. And consequently the CG for his character looked pretty bad.
But other than that aside from some minor complaints I think the rest of it was pretty consistent with the rest of the films. The set pieces and scenery were very cool. Oh, and my other big negative was killing off
Spoiler:That sucks. But I liked that there wasn't anymore human involvement like in Awakening and it really felt a little more like the original.

I went sober, basically wanting to see Tywin and Edmure, because I'm a GoT fanboy.
It also had The Wall and an even better looking Daenerys! How could you be disappointed as a GoT fanboy!? 😂
Lena, played by Clementine Nicholson. Wow.

Maybe the series is better when you marathon it...
Yeah, I watched them all leading up and that helped majorly. Helped me familiarize myself with the story and characters again, so I followed Blood Wars quite well.
I'm keeping an eye on the box office receipts for this and it's broken even (more or less) now, so it's probably in pretty good shape to start making a profit.
And the foreign receipts haven't updated in a while, so that's probably a bit more now.
It's not performing extremely well here in the States, but then again it also wasn't very expensive to make.

Saw it. Far better than the last film.
I liked it more than the previous one also, for the most part.
My only real complaint on the film was the design of Marius's shapeshifted form. Looked bad.
But I think this Anna Foerster might be a pretty good director for this series. I don't think I'd mind seeing her do the next one or two. Here's to hoping.

I also loathe Selene and the end battle made me sick.
