Bodhi Rook = failure. Pussy pilot that spends the first half of the film braindead. And it doesn't really get better after that.

seems like any time a woman is halfway competent and not a damsel in distress in a movie, you people see it as an opportunity to dust off the ol' Mary Sue trope.

Rey isn't a Mary Sue guys, she's a padiwan trained in the force by Luke Skywalker and then memory wiped. There's no way she could've used the Jedi mind trick if she hadn't already been trained. I'm telling ya. Also stop being subtlety sexist

Kylo's training wasn't even complete and he was wounded after koing her. Do not overreact, naysayers. Wait until after Snoke completes his training.

Actually, Luke started doing crazy shit with minimal training, too...

And Jedi Mind Trick is one of the easiest Force abilities to learn.

In actuality this movie sounds boring and lame as fu#k. More shameless ploys to milk the nostalgia dollar without any real imagination.

I actually liked Rey, so the joke's on you guys, though I did find it odd at first that we saw her using the mind trick and stuff much sooner than Luke, along with perfect piloting abilities, all in her debut, but since she's supposed to be Luke's successor, I guess it comes with the territory.

Though it's not really a fair comparison, Ahsoka's a better example of a well developed kickass female character in Star Wars' case, who I never once considered a sue.

I liked Rey, too.

Not a fan of Ahsoka, wish Vader cut her down.

I'm still very excited but my expectations are not as super high as they were for episode seven. I do not get how you aren't excited for this but go nuts for Riddick.

There were serious problems with this movie.

I think she is a Mary Sue, but what people forget is that fact doesn't automatically make a character good/bad.
