No thanks I think I'll stick to just asking what was bad about it.

I'm tempted to look up spoilers now and post them or PM them to you though.

Like what?!

Already listed some on the page you posted on 😛

Without spoiler tags, I can only say it had average 3D, much inferior to Ep7...

You really are upset then. Just buy the ticket you cheapskate. He also already discussed the film in spoiler tags. Quit being a moron.

Someone did mention that the first hour was lame.

At first, I thought it was the typical hater talk, but after seeing the movie... kinda agree.

It was dark, some kids were close to tears and few fans even complained about it loudly after leaving the theater... I felt it should've been darker. Either go all the way or don't, simple.

Mon Mothma looks way too young, but the actress does a good job. There is a nice link to the prequels, too (

Spoiler:
Bail Organa
).

Spoiler:
Vader owns Krennic like the ***** he is 😂

Lol, yeah.

Spoiler:
And so did Tarkin earlier.

I agree, first 45 minutes or so are very boring. A lot of needless exposition and character that's completely obsolete: Saw Gerarra...

I think it would have worked a lot better if Jyn had taken over the operation of a deceased Saw, operated under his name and had a band of rogue rebellious operators that had long before Jyn grew up separated themselves form the Alliance. That way she'd had to overcome a bit more: a) the legacy of her Imperial father and b) the thought antipathy towards an alliance she didn't know herself.

It certainly would have created an opportunity for a stronger bond between the rogue crew. They kinda join forces for no apparant reason and never really had a real bond between them is this movie.

And as for gritty... it quite warlike, but still pretty clean.

So entertaining: yes. Better than the prequels: yes. Better than the OT and TFA: no. It kinda lacks heart and soul. (it does have a great Darth Vader though)

Still torn on if I want to catch a matinee of this, or watch a midnight showing

i saw TFA is the day time and it was full of screaming kids, just saying...

Mind... Blown

It's a lock for best special effects Oscar...

Best movie of the year..

Miles better than TFA. Miles..

A Real tribute to the greatest film ever made.

Nobody agrees so far vin

But I'm glad you liked it. What was your fav scene?

Like I said, this was the Real tribute to the Original Star Wars IMO.

But you shouldn't be too surprised knowing I'm admittedly not the biggest TFA fan.

Well that has to be

Spoiler:
Vader killing Rebels just because it's Vader killing Rebels. But loved so much of it. The entire final battle. That was the kind of X-Wing excitement so wanted from TFA. And I was just blown away by how much Tarkin there was. Creeped out, but simultaneously blown away

Yeah, not surprised.

You need to admit its 3D didn't match TFA's, though.

Spoiler:
Vader rocked! 😄

Yes one of the saving graces of seeing TFA on IMAX was the Awesome 3D. Aside from that though it had no Wow factor in special effects the way all previous Star Wars films did and how R1 has.

Looking forward to more SW "stories". They're doing Han Solo next, right?

After this, yeah I'd say I am. But obviously young Solo will be a very different kind of film to this. But it works for Marvel, so yeah might work out really well.

I'm still hoping for a Boba Fett film that was rumoured a while ago 😂

Young Han and young Lando would feel wrong, especially with Disney ignoring Billy Williams and not giving him even a cameo in the new trilogy yet...
