Says the boards most well known cuck, Robtard. Trying to imitate my mockery of you is a compliment you pay me, Bernard.

kids bored during a war movie? really...

leave the kids at home, don't let them see movies like this one. all they will do is piss off the adults by talking too loudly and kicking seats

just because this is a star wars movie doesn't mean you need to bring your kids. lucas is no longer the boss, disney is and i am glad that they are doing something different this time, taking risk and not playing it safe. it's a good thing, disney was smart to not make this a kid movie, the han solo spin off won't be kid friendly either, ep 8 will be though

Should pass $1Bill

Only thing that could slow it down is it not being kid friendly. Especially for a SW film.

Such is the power of Lord Vader even after all these years where a cameo-like appearance generates millions.

Hoping this does indeed break the 1bil, will help fuel more SW films. Besides the planned ep 7 and 8 and character-centric films like the upcoming Han Solo film, wouldn't mind if they do more of these 'in between' films, further fleshing out the saga as a whole. eg Like a film of what happened in the 3ish years between ep 4 and 5 centering on the Rebel's various conflicts around the galaxy.

I do hope it's successful because I want more Star Wars in the same vein as I want more big budget Star Trek films. That being said it won't make as much money as TFA the superior film. 🙂

Planning on going to see this tomorrow, and I don't want to read too many critics' reviews (sometimes they like to spoil without spoiler warnings and there are not too many I care to follow besides Jeremy Jahns and Chris Stuckmann anyways).

Anybody on here want to give a quick, spoiler-free review or a few bullet points of pros and cons?

Or a Shadows of the Empire type story.. Sebastian Stan for Luke!

And someone cool for Dash Rendar.

Cons:
-No opening crawl (minor annoyance)

-It's a bit slow to start

Pros:
-Once it gets rolling it's a great SW film

-It tells us a story as it needs and doesn't play it safe like ep7

-K-2SO is the best SW Droid to date

-Action scenes are great

-Great ship to ship/vessel battles

-End scene with Vader is epic

Opening crawl was a major annoyance for me.

K2 isn't even the runner up for best droid.

Fair enough, did annoy be a bit, but I also liked that it jumped right in.

Would definitely annoy me if they were to skip the crawl in something like ep7 or 8, not that they would.

Just what I was looking for Rob. Thank you sir.

EDIT: Heard from a friend that the space combat was outstanding.

No worries, I'm not sensitive with age jokes, my body is still amazing at 43, what you get with regular exercise and proper diet and good genes 😛

My comment had to do with you stating you would be equal parts of piss and vinegar in 5-10 years about...7 years ago?

Rob is old as shit.

But knows what he is talking about. Krennic may be the bus driver of the DS... but he has no power at all, that's clear from R1. All he does is try to prove himself. At which in the end, he fails.

And ends up being the reason for the Death Star's failure. Which in turn lead to the Empire's failure.

Not too bad, better than TFA. This movie did make me realize how important Jedi and Sith are to the Star Wars franchise, basically it felt like any other Sci-Fi movie.

On an unrelated note, the CGI make up that they had on Tarkin was amazing, I could barely tell it was a body double.

Really? I didn't bother me in a great deal, but it was very obvious. Like Smoke, except, he was a hologram and may be fake, who knows.

Leia looked creepy... quite distracting.

Leia did look off, but I thought Tarkin looked damn near perfect.

Yeah same, Leia looked off & too obvious.

He was still very fake and it stood out.
