No, I mean nuance. Trying to work a deal out with someone doesn't have to mean showering them with praise, and trying to take a hard line doesn't have to mean saber rattling. Kim went from "Iittle rocket man" to "a smart cookie" in Trump's words in a matter of months. Same dude, nothing has changed about him. Just Trump's strategy.
You say he's just being straight forward... I don't think so. If anything his new found love for Kim is pretty disingenuous. I even remember during his national emergency speech, while taking about how promising the North Korean regime was and heaping praise on them... Trump complimented NK on its "great location... Right there between South Korea and China." Great location. Like it's a ****in McDonald's. All so he can try to work with them going forward. It's transparently fake and obvious schmoozing.
