Batman aged better. I like X-Men, but there was a bunch of boring episodes. I would actually put JLU above it.

Not sure if I'd put like JLU above it, but disagree on there being a bunch of boring episodes with X-Men. Almost all of them (at the very least) emotionally moved me in some way, through all 5 seasons, although there's no denying the art got worse by the final season due to behind the scenes stuff. I liked pretty much all the episodes of Batman as well, but can definitely remember some filler ones that were more of a miss for me than a hit.

Also, X-Men TAS's intro music is ageless. 😎

It'd be very hard to argue that the best of JLU beats the best of X-Men. Both shows had boring episodes, so I'm not sure that's an apt complaint.

Then again, YMMV.

I still say that the only show better than XTAS was Batman, personally.

Pryde of the X-Men, yeah. Too bad we got only that pilot episode...

👆

Aye. Such good stuff, even with Aussie Logan and Racoon Colossus.

I agree. The intro KICKED ASS.

What do you guys think is better? X-Men or Marvel's Avengers. The cartoons.

You mean that Avg toon from the 90's was it? It was kind of So Bad its Good. but really more bad

The best Avengers one imo was Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Still though, the best of X-Men TAS still beats anything it can put forward, as good as EMH was.

Yeah, that's the one I mean. EMH. Have yet to see it.

It's REALLY good. Like, on par with Young Justice good. I know you haven't seen that either, but they're both excellent.

I got some watching to do this summer. 😎

Yes EMH was awesome. JLU was awesome. And Batman TAS was obviously a game changer.

But yeah have to agree X-Men TAS tops all (and to me) the 90's Fox Spider-Man TAS as well. Those were epic cartoon times which the movies have never even come close to replicating in quality.

Oh but with Batman/Superman TAS, leading into JL, that was really the first time a shared superhero Universe was properly built up on Tv. Whereas Spider-Man/X-Men was the first for an epic crossover IIRC.

So Geoff Johns was involved creatively with Wonder Woman from Day1, and both him and Patty Jenkins love Donner's Superman and strongly influenced by it:

Ironic given how Grimm the DCEU's Superman has become.

But I wonder if we're finally seeing the results of Geoff Johns being more in charge.

Perri from Collider says the film has some pacing problems but overall she enjoyed it. It's the first story here:

But a thumbs up is a thumbs up so looks on course to be the first DCEU film with at least a decent RT score.

Thumbs up to PATTY JENKINS! Everyone is also saying Gal is great in this.

Dear @PattyJenks,

WONDER WOMAN is phenomenal. Not just a great superhero movie but a great FILM

Replying to @KevinMcCarthyTV and @PattyJenks
And the cinematography. Just wow. It's a gorgeous film. Score is fantastic. Gadot is mesmerizing. You will fall in love with her & the film.

^ Yes it's good news Zack.

Shame they weren't patient with Justice League and chose the wrong director.

But between this and MOS, at least they're doing a decent job with their solo films. Aquaman looks good as well.

Jl hasn't come out. Lol. Lets not get into that again.

^ Snyder is directing it.

If we have to keep Synder... He can at least do somewhat better with solo films than ensemble ones like BvS or JL; at least that's how I feel.

^ Yeah his non event films were definitely better. MOS > BvS, and Watchmen > MOS.

But unfortunately he's contributed way too much to the DCEU already, and if JL is meh like we all suspect, then I can't see why WB would want to keep him around. Especially if the likes of Jenkins, Wan and Reeves all get much better received films.

They'll be kicking themselves in the nuts asking "why weren't we a little more patient with JL, instead of just handing everything over to Snyder in a rush to catch up with Marvel."

Well, duh. I just think it's funny you keep bringing it up. Go to the JL thread and complain over there. This is the WW thread.
