Please. The Thor films were serviceable to shitty, what makes you think this one will be any different just because they are aping the GOTG style?
No. One Thor film was poorly done. The second one. The first one was the second most successful solo franchise of Phase I, which successfully brought arguably the most difficult MCU solo character to adapt to the big screen, and gave us one of the most epic villains on screen with Loki.
Which is why audiences are proper hyped for Thor's Return hence the record number of YouTube hits.

Patty Jenkins did an AMA on reddit:

Looks like the story itself was mostly Snyder, but the script was her and Johns. Makes sense.

Well looks like that's a winning combo. And Snyder's a better story teller than we give him credit for.

Not much for OW. That's a terrible number.
"3rd Update, Friday 11:56PM: No amount of marketing stunts from a 75-foot Sarcophagus in Hollywood to two VR experiences could create any want-to-see for Tom Cruise's latest movie, Universal's The Mummy which is tanking stateside this weekend in second place with an estimated $30.9M behind Warner Bros/DC's Wonder Woman which will own the top spot for a second weekend in a row with $54.3M, -47% and a running cume of $202.1M by Sunday.
